Trey Sanders

Trey was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he played on the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team. After graduating from Denison, Trey attended Western Michigan University Law School. Following law school, Trey returned to St. Louis and took a position with a law firm specializing in commercial real estate and business matters, both transactional and litigation.

In 2014, Trey founded D.H. Sanders, LLC with a focus on providing his clients with the skill, expertise, and wisdom often associated with larger law firms, but with the personalized approach, accountability, and cost-effectiveness of a highly dedicated, boutique law firm. Trey’s practice concentrates on advising business owners, corporate executives, and in-house attorneys with a variety of regulatory, real estate and development, licensing, franchising, and corporate litigation and transactional matters. Although his practice covers a wide range of industries, Trey’s emphasis is on providing legal services for clients in the healthcare, automotive, transportation, construction and development, and commercial real estate industries.

Trey serves on the Board of Directors for the Ten8 Project, an organization which provides K9 assets and training to law enforcement and first responders, and he is also actively involved with The Covering House, a charitable organization leading the fight against human trafficking. In his spare time, Trey enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and playing squash.

Dillon Sanders

Dillon Sanders was born and raised in St. Louis County, Missouri. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he studied business and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Upon graduating from college, Dillon successfully passed the Series 7 and Series 66 examinations while working for Edward Jones. During his time with Edward Jones, Dillon realized he had a strong interest in the legal matters that affected his clients and their businesses, and his true passion was practicing law.

Dillon attended the Dayton University School of Law where he served as a Publication Editor on the University of Dayton Law Review Board. While attending law school, Dillon clerked for a retired judge, who specialized in mediation and arbitration, and he also clerked for D.H. Sanders, LLC. Upon graduating law school, Dillon returned home to St. Louis and accepted a full-time position with D.H. Sanders, LLC. During his time with the firm, Dillon has dedicated his practice to commercial and employment litigation, construction litigation, real estate disputes, non-compete and trade secret cases, general business disputes, business formation, and providing businesses with outside general counsel services.

As an attorney who is in the courtroom on a regular basis, Dillon understands that prevailing in the courtroom doesn’t always mean a win for the bottom line. Because of this, Dillon represents his clients in various transactional matters with a focus on helping his clients achieve their goals and avoid disputes that could potentially arise in the future. Dillon’s past experiences providing financial services, as well as his continued representation of businesses on matters ranging from contract drafting and review to issues involving the Department of Labor, give him a unique perspective on the innerworkings of small to midsized businesses, allowing him to properly advise businesses on various matters.

Dillon is a member of the St. Louis Red Shoe Society, which supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, and he also serves on the Development Board of the Great Rivers Habitat Alliance (GRHA), an organization committed to building support to protect the floodplain, habitat, and wetlands along and up the Mississippi, Missouri, and Illinois rivers watersheds. In addition to devoting time to the Red Shoe Society and the GRHA, Dillon enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and playing squash.
